Is this data entry position a scam?
I feel like I’ve seen this before. It was a post on craigslist, I replied, and received an email detailing what I had to do, etc. but then this was posted at the bottom:
"METHOD OF PAYMENT:
You will receive payment through Pay Pal. You are not paid weekly — you are paid for each application that you process. There is a ONE-TIME non-refundable fee of $9.95. This cost is for the training materials sent to you via email, and also shows that you are serious about wanting to take advantage of this opportunity (some start-up fees can be as high as $35.00 or more). Once you process your very first inquiry and response, you will have earned back this cost. Your training materials will be sent to your email within 24 hours after your payment is received. Once you receive your training materials, you can begin working immediately. "
Is this a legit thing? Thanks!

You need to find out the name of the company, what state they are licensed in, and what type of business its is. (probably and LLC if I had to guess)
Then you can look up that company and see for yourself. It sounds like it is probably a scam, but it is hard to say. In my experience, places that are NOT scams, A: don’t use craigslist as a prime point of marketing,B: give you all the information up front, including who they are, where they are, etc, C: dont require you to pay money up front.
(I know many people who have had good experiences with these work-at-home call-center things, but they do require you to add a 2nd phone-line and license your own LLC before starting work…)
If your looking for legitimate work-at-home jobs, check out the URL in my source… (comes from a nationaly syndicated consumer fraud/credit show)

I don’t know but if you re looking to make extra $$ working at home read the following:
Make $$ reading emails …you get paid 2 cents per email that u read that is sent to you …it is totally free to sign up for ur acct and u also get a $10.00 bonus when u sign up …all you need is pc and internet access and you can read your emails anywhere …you don’t make that much money but it is legitimate…

Any company that asks for advance payment or has a fee for providing work at home jobs is most likely to be a scam. Check this out for information on data entry work from home jobs without any upfront payment http://de7.info
