:Well to be good at data entry you have to be able to type fast. There are two major types of keyboard layouts Dvorak and Qwerty. Even if you have a Qwerty keyboard you can set the computer to recognize it as a dvorak keyboard and vice versa. Qwerty is so common that most people dont even know dvorak exists but reason I am telling you about it is because with dvorak you can achive very high typing speeds about twice as high as qwerty. So if you dont know typing on qwerty keyboards yet might just want to practice with dvorak keyboard layout. Qwerty was designed to slow down very fast dvorak typists who used to break the typewriters but that is no longer the case with computers. LOL

Why must a data entry specialist type rapidly and accurately?

I am graduating next year and I am not going to college. I want to become a data entry specialist and they hire and train you right on the job.. I have read somewhere that you have to type rapidly and accurately without making any mistakes. But if you, what will happen?

If you are a data entry specialist and you don’t enter data quickly and accurately you will not be very good at your job. You probably won’t get many raises/bonuses, you will probably be more likely to be laid off/fired than your co-workers who are quick and accurate, because you will be do less work for the same money as them. This is not a good bargain for your employer. A company that is hired to do a data entry job may also get penalized for submitting incorrect information.

HMM! It sounds good but I can’t say that it is not a scam. Here I tell you my experience about this Type of data entry job offers. As you I was also looking for such kind of jobs in internet. One day I got a good designed website for the job I was looking. The fee was $9.59. For this amount they had to mail on CD in which they claimed that whole procedure of job is explained.
