Is there software that I can buy to train me in data entry and if so where would I buy it?

Wednesday, October 14th, 2009

:Well to be good at data entry you have to be able to type fast. There are two major types of keyboard layouts Dvorak and Qwerty. Even if you have a Qwerty keyboard you can set the computer to recognize it as a dvorak keyboard and vice versa. Qwerty is so common that most people dont even know dvorak exists but reason I am telling you about it is because with dvorak you can achive very high typing speeds about twice as high as qwerty. So if you dont know typing on qwerty keyboards yet might just want to practice with dvorak keyboard layout. Qwerty was designed to slow down very fast dvorak typists who used to break the typewriters but that is no longer the case with computers. LOL

For free typing practice try this website:

Good Luck!

Work at Home as a Microsoft Excel Expert

Tuesday, October 13th, 2009

These days, many companies will outsource their data entry jobs because it is becoming more cost-effective to do so. They are looking for Excel experts to gather, process and organize vast amounts of data that they collect on a daily basis. Not only does it free up valuable time that the company can use to focus on their core processes, but many businesses have large volumes of data that are difficult to store and manage.

As a spreadsheet and data storage software program, Microsoft Excel is an important part of the business and data management process in many organizations. For people who are interested in Excel data entry, most jobs will consist of online copying, pasting, editing, sorting, and indexing of information for data capture, catalog data entry, survey data entry and online form data entry. Jobs and contracts can be found by searching freelance job bidding sites. These sites post multiple opportunities in various industries.

If you are particularly good at creating Excel templates and working forms in the program, you could consider custom-designing and selling templates to different industries. For example you could create a template for Marketing, where a company could copy and paste entries from phone and industry directory websites into a sheet and create automated prospect lists. Or, you could design financial spreadsheets for local Accounting firms.

A lot of different companies may need a professional to create online processes for collecting and organizing web-based timesheets that manage employee time and projects online. Smaller businesses and practices don’t have dedicated staff to create and manage their information, so they look to outsource their processing and form creation. If you catch their attention by offering customized templates, you just might land the data entry job as well.

If you think would like a career in data entry, but you are not confident in your Excel skills, the proper training course can show you how to take your spreadsheets to the limits. A training course can illustrate the database and conditional formatting functions, as well as demonstrate many techniques that can reduce errors. The software offers built-in tutorials designed to get you started, or you can find many websites that offer print and video tutorials on the program.

The faster and more skilled you become the more jobs you will be able to take on to increase your income. Be sure to research and document the appropriate, competitive rate structures for your time. Work from home data entry jobs can be paid by the project, or by the page, depending upon you own preferences and the expectations of your clients.

As one of the most economical types of home business, many people who perform data entry simply make a work space in their home and begin establishing a profitable data entry business. Although there is the ongoing cost of the internet service, maintenance of computer equipment, and upgrading of necessary programs, the only additional things that you need are knowledge, adaptable skills, time, and your imagination.

Data Entry – A Great Way to Make Money From Home

Tuesday, October 13th, 2009

If you have been looking online for awhile trying to find something that is
legitimate and somewhat easy to do you might want to consider online data entry typist jobs. This is a great way to earn extra income from home and you don’t have to have any experience to do this type of work.

How these programs work is you will simply be submitting data into online forms for the purpose of promoting web companies. This in short is called “Afiliate
marketing”. In return these companies will pay you a commission based salary
(usually from 50-75% of their profit).

There are many programs like this available and will give you one on one training, provide you with all jobs, tools and resources to be most successful in your field of work. There is a small fee of about 50 dollars that you have to pay in order to do this but with a good program you should be able to make that money right back.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. I read that these types of programs are scams?

The program itself is actually not a scam at all. This type of work is done by
several people everyday and there is nothing illegal or immoral about it.
The only thing is it might not be as easy as one would portray. If you think your
just gonna join and make hundreds of dollars a day with little to no work then your sadly mistaken. It takes time and effort on your part as with any other job on the
planet!

2. HOW MUCH MONEY CAN ONE MAKE WITH THIS TYPE OF WORK?

This totally depends on you, the time and effort you choose to put into the job.
There have been reports of people making up to $200 and up a day but like I said, this will take work on your end.

3. CAN YOU RECOMMEND A GOOD COMPANY?

Yes. I like the program “Typist Jobs” owned by Ruth Cleven and would definitely
recommend this to anyone who wanted to do this. Ruth Cleven has been in business now for sometime and is a professional marketer and could show you the ins and outs of this business. For more information on Typist Jobs please refer to my bio box below.

Home based data entry typist jobs are the wave of the future. This has literally
become one of the hottest money making programs on the internet today. The great thing about it is you don’t need to have your own website and you don’t have to talk to anyone or do any selling. All you have to do is just place your ads and you get paid generously for your work.

Data entry work from home?

Saturday, July 31st, 2010

I’m currently out of work and being fairly choosey about the type of jobs I’m applying for, but need to start earning quick! I’ve been looking at some data entry from home schemes, but not sure if they’re as convenient as they sound, especially the one in this link: http://www.ukhomebased.com/
where you need to pay a registration fee before receiving the training and the work. Does anyone have any experience with work/websites like this? Is it worth doing? Any tips for avoiding being scammed? Thanks!

Data entry was obsolete 25 years ago, and at home jobs don’t exist.
